ASEEES Committee on the Status of Women in the Profession Mentoring Survey

The ASEEES Committee on the Status of Women in the Profession (CSWP) kindly asks the SEEES community to take the brief survey linked below, developed by members of the committee to investigate the state of mentoring in the field.

The goal is to reevaluate the state of mentoring within Slavic studies in order to better understand the strengths of and challenges to providing and receiving effective mentoring for faculty and graduate students from a diverse range of backgrounds. The information you give in this survey will remain completely anonymous. If you are interested in learning about the results, the committee encourages you to come to their roundtable at this year’s ASEEES convention in Chicago, where the data will be presented. The roundtable is scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, from 10:00 am to 11:45 am in the Huron Room (10th floor)

The Committee on the Status of Women in the Profession helps raise awareness of the professional, equity, and diversity issues that confront women scholars, students, and professionals in the Russian, East European, and Eurasian fields.

The committee would also like to strongly encourage members of Q*ASEEES and ADSEEES to take the survey, as mentoring is such an important topic for groups with less representation in the field.
