2019 ASEEES Summer Convention, Zagreb
ASEEES is delighted to announce its third biennial summer convention.
The 2019 ASEEES Summer Convention theme is "Culture Wars" with a focus on the ways in which individuals or collectives create or construct diametrically opposed ways of understanding their societies and their place in the world. As culture wars intensify across the globe, we invite participants to scrutinize present or past narratives of difference or conflict, and/or negotiating practices within divided societies or across national boundaries. We invite papers and proposals that deal with this broader theme, with a range of possible interpretations.
The convention will take place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Building at Ivana Lucica 3, 10 000 Zagreb [google map]
The official language of the summer convention is English.
The preliminary convention program will be ready in February. More information can be found HERE.
All participants will be expected to register for the convention and pay registration fees. Registration info can be found HERE.
We do not have one designated hotel for the convention. There are many nearby hotels in different price ranges. Also, the university is offering a few dorm rooms. More information and hotel suggestions is can be found HERE.
ASEEES is offering a limited number of travel grants for ASEEES member participants of the Zagreb Convention. See the travel grant page for more information.
