2026 Board Election Candidates Announced
The elections for the ASEEES Board of Directors are held annually in the summer. This year, there are three seats up for election: the President-Elect/Vice President, and the two Members-at-Large serving three-year terms from January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2029.
VICE PRESIDENT / PRESIDENT-ELECT
- Melissa K. Bokovoy – Professor of History and Regents’ Lecturer at the University of New Mexico
- Alison K. Smith – Professor of History at the University of Toronto
MEMBERS-AT-LARGE
Two members-at-large are elected each year by ASEEES members, to hold office for three (3) years. (vote for not more than two)
- Aleksandar Bošković – Senior Lecturer in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian at Columbia University
- Dima Kortukov – Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Alabama
- Piotr Kosicki – Associate Professor of History at the University of Maryland
- Laura Schlosberg – Assistant Dean of Academic and Curriculum Support in the School of Humanities and Sciences at Stanford University
Information on how to vote electronically will be distributed by email to current members by June 22. Please join or renew your membership today, if you have not already done so. Paper ballots will be distributed to members without email addresses on file and those who have requested them. Contact us to request a paper ballot. Voting will end on September 1.
