Leah Valtin-Erwin holds a PhD in Eastern European History from Indiana University Bloomington (2023), an MA in Global Studies and Russian and East European Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2018), and a BA in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Eastern and Central European Studies from Hampshire College (2016). Prior to joining the ASEEES staff, she served as editor of the Society for Romanian Studies’ semi-annual newsletter, as graduate assistant for the Polish Studies Center at Indiana University Bloomington, and as President of the Romanian Studies Organization at Indiana University Bloomington.
