2026-27 Berlin Prize with the American Academy in Berlin

The American Academy in Berlin is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 Berlin Prize, a semester-long residential fellowship open to US-based scholars, writers, journalists, and public policy experts who wish to advance independent projects within a dynamic interdisciplinary community.
All candidates will receive notification of the competition outcome via email in late March 2026. The Academy will announce the 2026-27 Berlin Prize recipients in May 2026.
The deadline to apply is Monday, September 22, 2025 at 12:00 pm EST/6:00 pm CET.
