Lev Oborin, Aleksandr Dolinin, Alina Bodrova, Aleksandr Arkhangel’skii, Dina Magomedova, and Valerii Shubinskii published Polka’s History of Russian Poetry with Alpina Books.

The book features comprehensive articles on Russophone poetry, starting from the pre-Modern period and ending with today’s youngest generation of poets.

The book is authored by a team of literary scholars, critics, and poets: Aleksandr Dolinin, Alina Bodrova, Aleksandr Arkhangel’skii, Dina Magomedova, Lev Oborin, Valerii Shubinskii. Being the first “big” history of Russian poetry in more than 50 years, the book describes main poets, texts, and events of the rich Russophone tradition. With its main focus on the last three centuries, it includes articles on the Pushkin era, Russian modernism, Soviet underground, and post-Soviet poetic trends.
