Membership for Permanent Residents in Eastern Europe & Eurasia
For scholars whose gross annual income is under $30,000 USD and who permanently reside in Eastern Europe/Eurasia (see below for the list of qualifying countries), ASEEES is now offering reduced membership dues. Scholars from the region temporarily resident elsewhere, and scholars from elsewhere temporarily resident in the region, are not eligible for this offer.

In order to receive the reduced dues rate, you must complete and return the special In-Region Membership Form to aseees@pitt.edu. This offer is not available through the members’ website.

NOTE: For 2024, ASEEES is offering free membership to scholars and graduate students who are Ukrainian citizens and currently residing in Ukraine or displaced outside of Ukraine due to Russia’s war on Ukraine. For more information and to apply, click HERE.
Displaced Scholars: Scholars who normally reside in one of the qualifying countries, but have been displaced or self-exiled due to the war in Ukraine, and as a result are currently located outside the listed countries will still qualify for the in-region rate.

Joint memberships are available for a fee of $25 per year in addition to the regular membership fee of the primary member; both members must permanently reside in a qualifying country. Joint members do not receive duplicate publications and are not eligible for ASEEES grants or or First Book subvention.
