Syllabus Bank
The ASEEES Syllabus Bank brings together syllabi from across the field, submitted by faculty and instructors within Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies.
Welcome to the ASEEES Syllabus Bank!
A resource for early-career scholars and seasoned instructors alike, the ASEEES Syllabus Bank offers members an opportunity to learn from colleagues across our community and enrich the teaching of SEEES as a whole.
The ASEEES Syllabus Bank is open to current ASEEES members. You must be logged in to the ASEEES member site in order to view the Syllabus Bank.
Best Practices for Citing Syllabi
Syllabi submitted to the ASEEES Syllabus Bank are the intellectual property of their creators. ASEEES encourages members who draw on others’ materials acknowledge their sources where appropriate. When developing course materials that draw on colleagues’ syllabi, ASEEES strongly encourages instructors to acknowledge those sources directly: for example, in a footnote naming the colleagues whose work informed your own, or in a note accompanying any specific assignment or element that has been adapted or borrowed.
For more tips and suggestions, see the MLA’s “How do I cite a syllabus?“

Note on Intellectual Property
Syllabi submitted to the ASEEES Syllabus Bank are the intellectual property of their creators. ASEEES recommends applying a Creative Commons license to their submitted syllabi to communicate how others may use, adapt, and share your work, while ensuring you retain credit as the original creator. Information on license types can be found at creativecommons.org.
Submissions are automatically uploaded to the Syllabus Bank, which is viewable by current ASEEES members. However, we strongly recommend that you only submit syllabi in a form which you would be willing to have shared publicly.
The syllabus will be listed in the Syllabus Bank for up to 5 years, after which it will be archived or deleted. You can contact us at any time to remove your syllabus from the Syllabus Bank.
